    Clarington Flames Selected to Attend U16 Ontario Games

    Nine, yep, nine players from the Clarington Flames were selected to attend the Ontario Summer Games from August 2 to 5, 2018 in London, Ontario.

    Novice Program

    After reviewing all the OWHA documentation in regards to the new program requirements for Fundamental and Novice age players, the CGHA has decided to offer the Fundamental and Novice programs as follows:

    Novice aged players (birth years of 2011 & 2010) will play in the Novice full ice program.

    All 2012 players and younger would be required to participate in the fundamentals program half ice program.

    Underage players (2012 and younger) will not be rostered to Novice team under any circumstance regardless of whether the player has played previous seasons of hockey.

    As of the 2019-20 season, all players 2011 and younger players will be required to participate in the Initiation/Fundamentals (1/2 ice) program.

    All volunteers for teams require a valid Police check (not older than 2 years at any point during the hockey season) and Respect In Sports - Activity Leader certification (Coaches / Asst Coaches require coaching certifications).
